Flexibility in the power system

Flexibility in power systems has become a key factor for the success of the energytransition. High price fluctuations in the short-term power markets indicate that it becomes more and more challenging to match the fluctuating generation of renewable generation with the demand. The BMWi-funded FlexEuro project is developing models and methods for the optimal marketing of load flexibilities in various electricity markets.

Decision Trees is modelling the "virtual Battery"of Trimet and investigates the added value of stochastic optimization applied in shortterm power trading.
